faq 1

Why is a wet basement bad?

A wet basement can cause structural damage to your home by weakening the foundation over time. It creates an environment for mould and mildew, which can affect indoor air quality and pose health risks. Persistent moisture can also damage stored belongings and reduce the overall value of your property. Left unaddressed, a wet basement may lead to expensive repairs and reduce your home’s energy efficiency due to damp conditions.

faq 2

How long does it take to waterproof a basement?

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the size of the basement and the extent of the problem. On average, it can take anywhere from 1 to 3 days. For larger spaces or more complex issues, the process could take longer.

faq 3

How long should basement waterproofing last?

Basement waterproofing, when done correctly, can last for decades. A high-quality waterproofing system should last at least 10 to 20 years, and often much longer if properly maintained. Regular inspections and maintenance can help ensure the waterproofing system continues to function effectively.

How do you finish a basement after waterproofing?

After waterproofing, you can safely finish your basement by adding insulation, framing, and drywall. Once the walls and flooring are installed, you can add any final touches, like painting or installing fixtures, to create a functional living space.

Great work and very satisfied. Walls were cleared and cleaned, with a membrane put around nearly half the basement. Punctual, friendly, and hardly left a trace that they were even there. Would recommend to others easily.

Paul’s Basement Waterproofing installed eight Kevlar grid stabilization systems c/w top and bottom anchors. The work was done on a 30lf section of 12” concrete block wall in our basement. The wall was then completely covered with Delta membrane and tied into an existing sump system. The crew did an excellent job and we are pleased with their work.

Paul has been amazing. He has done great job in my house. He found the water leak too and he didn’t even charge me anything for it. Overall happy with his work. I heard about his work from another plumbing company in the area. Definitely going to him for any more issues related to water.

With us, you can rest assured that your home is protected against water damage for years to come.
